Dali is a Bai minority town at the foot of the Cang Shan Mountain Range, just above Er Hai Lake. Dali today has become somewhat of a hippie enclave with the glut of Westerners stopping in to satisfy their cravings for pizzas and hamburgers. The town is small, very colorful, and comfortably sleepy. Rich vermillion walls of earth, as from this residence, are a common sight. | ||||||||
