The conical peaks of Guilin and nearby Yangshuo are the result of the weathering of land that rose up from the sea over 150 million years ago. These peaks are covered with vegetation year-round. At dawn and dusk, you can see the layering of shadows of distant peaks, creating an endless echo of silhouettes. On a warm winter day, we rented bikes and explored the narrow paved roads that wind about the lush countryside. | ||||||||
